The Conclusion
By: Rick Boxx
May 6, 2013

When I speak on business ethics I typically contrast the world’s view on integrity as compared to God’s view. The difference is the concept of “fearing God.”

In the 1950s and 60s many preachers taught “hellfire and brimstone” messages so frequently that it undermined the love of God. This resulted in the pendulum swinging the other direction. Now many churches teach about the love of God, but virtually ignore the fear of God.

King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 12:13, “The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.  For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.”

This week we will discuss a proper tension in fearing and loving God.
