As I entered a meeting, I was bombarded with details of a young employee who had suddenly demonstrated bizarre behavior. The workplace had been disrupted, and the employer was concerned for the safety of all the employees.
“What should we do?” I was asked.
In Ezekiel 34:16 God speaks of being a shepherd to His people. He says, “I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice.”
We determined that this employer needed to protect the entire flock, while at the same time, caring for the delusional one. The troubled employee was required to get professional help before returning to work. Fortunately, he agreed.
