Do Not Fear

Over dinner, a former detective and I talked about my leaving banking to begin a ministry to the marketplace. “I can chase a man down a blind alley who has a gun and not be the least bit afraid,” He said, “but leaving a job to start a ministry would scare me half to death.”

Fear takes shape in many forms. Chasing someone down an alley with a gun would paralyze me, but yet for my friend it was no big deal.

Deuteronomy 31:8 teaches, “The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed."

If you are walking in God’s calling, do not fear. He will be with you.
