Hands-on Faith – Week of March 9, 2020

As families, we are called to be God's light in the world, just like Jesus commanded His disciples to "make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19). This week, explore practical ways to share the Good News with others through games, talks, and prayer, as you discover how to proclaim boldly what God has taught you.

Devotions – The Great Commission Starts at Home

Hands-on Faith for Families – week of March 9, 2020

Theme: Be God’s Light in the World

The Great Commission Starts at Home

Scripture: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

Play: Play a game of telephone: Whisper a sentence about Jesus, and let the last person proclaim it loudly. Play the game a few times using different messages and taking turns “proclaiming” the Good News.

Talk: The message of Jesus’ love and forgiveness is the most important message of all. Jesus wants the whole world to know it. In Matthew 28:19, He told His disciples to share the Good News with everyone. That’s called the Great Commission. How can we share God’s message of love and forgiveness with others?

Pray: Ask God to help you proclaim boldly what He has taught you in His Word.
