Hands-on Faith – Week of March 30, 2020

As families navigate their daily routines, a simple yet profound principle can guide them in making a lasting impact for God - working with all their hearts, not just for personal gain. By embracing this mindset, individuals can transform even the most mundane tasks into opportunities to serve and honor God, inspiring others to do the same.

Devotions – Working for God

Hands-on Faith for Families – week of March 30, 2020

Theme: Be God’s Light in the World

Working for God

Scripture: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart working for the Lord and not for men… (Colossians 3:23)

Play: When you’re on the go, look for people who are working. Maybe you’ll spot a mail carrier, a construction worker, a gardener, a trash collector. Who can spot the most people working?

Talk: Colossians 3:23-24 says that we should do our work as if we’re working for God. So whether we’re doing chores, homework or a paid job, we should work at it with all our hearts. Our pastors and children’s ministry leaders all serve God with their work, and they give us a good example to follow. How can we show our appreciation for their hard work?

Pray: Pray that you would remember to do your work for God.
