Hands-on Faith for Families– week of March 17, 2014

Theme: Good Stewardship

Good Stewardship of Our Time

Play: Consider an event or holiday, such as a birthday, vacation, Easter or Christmas. Work together to calculate the number of days until that date arrives. Repeat with another event or holiday, but let kids compete to see who can come up with the number first.

Talk: We often look forward to special occasions and holidays. Celebrating with friends and family and going to new places are fun things to do. Sometimes we get so excited about events in the future that we forget the importance of today. But Psalm 90:12 says we should consider each day important, knowing that we only have a limited number of days on this earth. Each day is a gift from God, so we need to cherish it and use it wisely. What are some good ways you can use your time today?

Pray: Ask God to show you how He wants you to spend your time.
