Hands-On Faith – Week of July 13

Focus on the Family's "Hands-on Faith for Families" series encourages families to explore their faith through interactive activities and discussions, with this week's theme centered around showing respect and love for elderly individuals. By participating in games, talks, and prayers, families can learn valuable lessons about aging, wisdom, and the importance of honoring those who have come before them.

Hands-on Faith for Families – week of July 13, 2020

Theme: Show the Love of God in Your Life

Crown of Splendor

Scripture: Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained by a righteous life. (Proverbs 16:31)

Play: Try to spot gray or silver cars. See who can find the most.

Talk: The Bible talks about the color gray. Proverbs 16:31 says that “gray hair is the crown of splendor; it is attained by a righteous life.” This verse reminds us that we should respect our elders because they have lived a long time and learned what it means to be holy. What are ways you can show respect to the elderly people you know?

Pray: Spend a few moments praying for grandparents and elderly friends and neighbors.
