Hands-on Faith – Week of December 30, 2019

Focus on the Family's "Hands-on Faith for Families" series encourages families to prioritize their relationship with God, exploring how keeping Him at the center of life can bring perfect peace in the midst of chaos. Through interactive activities, Bible study, and prayer, this week's theme helps parents guide their children in developing a strong faith foundation that brings stability and joy to everyday life.

Hands-on Faith for Families – week of December 2, 2019

Theme: Keep God as the Center of Your Life

Focused on God

Scripture: You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3).

Play: Ask your kids to use facial expressions and hand gestures to show you what “stressed out” looks like. Have them take turns acting out a few other emotions as others guess what is being acted out. Then ask them to show you “perfect peace.”

Talk: There are many things that can cause us to worry, but God doesn’t want us to be anxious about anything! Isaiah 26:3 says that when we keep our minds focused on God, we can have perfect peace no matter what else may be going on. What events are going on in your life that would be less stressful if you placed your focus on God?

Pray: Thank God for the peace He provides even in the most difficult times. Ask Him to help you keep your mind focused on Him.
