It’s a Toss-up
Scripture: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5, 6)
Play: As you drive or walk, determine where you want to go, but flip a coin to make decisions about how you’re going to get there. “Heads, we turn right. Tails, we turn left.” At each intersection, flip the coin to choose a direction. After four or five turns, evaluate how close you are to your destination, then finish your walk or drive without the coin.
Talk: Flipping a coin to decide how to get where we’re going doesn’t make sense and might even take us farther away from our destination. Fortunately, there’s a better way to make decisions. The Bible says that God gives us wisdom through Jesus (Colossians 1:9-10). When we need to make an important decision, we can rely on Jesus to guide us in the right direction. How do you know whether you’ve made a good decision?
Pray: Ask God to help you make wise choices.
