By following simple instructions and listening carefully to God's message, families can deepen their relationship with Him and discover how to live each day with purpose and joy.

Hands-On Faith for Families – Week of August 25, 2025

Theme: God Guides

Scripture: You guide me with your counsel, and afterward You will take me into glory. (Psalm 73:24 ESV).

Play: Give and follow each other’s instructions, such as “Count by 2’s up to 10,” or “Show me three fingers, then blink twice” or “Tell me your favorite vegetable.”

Talk: In order to follow instructions, we have to listen carefully. The most important instructions are in the Bible, God’s message to us. Since He made us, He knows better than anyone what is best for us. If we listen carefully and follow God’s instructions, He will show us how to live each day. Psalm 73:24 tells us that God guides us in life, and that we may one day enjoy His glory in heaven. What can you do today to follow God’s instructions?

Pray: Ask God to help you pay attention and obey His instructions in the Bible, knowing that He wants to share more of himself with you.
