Entrée:
This week I got to sit with my friend Cecil Murphey and talk about remembering. We both watched people we love slip into a place of lost memories. It is at those moments we realize how vital remembering is to our everyday lives.
Last year we gathered together at an event called Unspeakable Joy. Almost 1000 women packed into a church to laugh, love and share life. It was amazing to hear the stories that came from those who attended! One honestly admitted that she is not a girly girl. The thought of being with that many women for an entire day did not fit her personality... but God. God whispered to her heart to go. As she remembers that time today, she describes it as truly a fresh drink of water for her thirsty soul.
Have you slipped into a complacent place in your life? Maybe the winter doldrums frosty grip requires spiritual surgery.
Pause today and remember. Ask God to open your mind to recall all of the wonderful moments He came to your rescue.
Plan to intentionally gather with girlfriends who will point you to The Only One who can Encourage you from the inside out, Jesus. Remember how God has been there for You. Have you shared those experiences with others so that they will be encouraged by God’s faithfulness? Do you share the love of Christ with others? Do you need encouragement? Is God whispering to your heart to go?

Father thank You for our memories and may we always remember Your love and Your faithfulness to us. You are so gracious and patient with us. If anyone is discouraged today, please speak to their heart. We pray for those who are thirsty to be filled again by You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
