Diet and Exercise

“But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” >Hebrews 5:14

THINK

The path to spiritual maturity is not just a matter of showing up at church on the weekends and expecting to be fed. Like physical growth requires a balance of diet, exercise and strength training, spiritual growth requires us to do some things as well.

As Christ followers, it is vital for us to SERVE; to use our God-given ability to help others. It’s also important to SHARE; to step out of our comfort zone and tell others about your relationship with Christ. And finally, we must SOW; the Bible calls us to financially invest in the greatest thing going and growing, the local church. When we do all three, we discover the power and benefits of spiritual maturity.

PRAY

Thank God for the opportunities He has given you, and pray that He continues to show you how you can continue to grow spiritually.

ACT

This weekend, ask someone at church about where you can SERVE in the House. SHARE your story with at least one person this week. And respond to God’s command to SOW the first 10% of all you receive (the tithe) to the only thing that Jesus Christ built, the local church.
