Daily in Your Presence - March 3

Rebecca Barlow Jordan invites readers to reflect on the importance of pleasing God rather than people in their daily lives, as she shares a personal and biblical perspective on living a life of peace and obedience. Through her devotional insights, Jordan encourages readers to trust in God's sovereignty and provision, even when faced with challenges and criticism from others.

 Day 62

PEACEMAKER

When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord,
he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.
Proverbs 16:7

FROM THE FATHER'S HEART
My child, why are you disturbed by the words of those around you? Even though others at times misunderstand Me, your job is to follow Me in obedience. Be a God pleaser, not a people pleaser. Trusting Me brings sweet release.

A GRATEFUL RESPONSE
Just when I think there is no hope for peace, You remind me that You are the great peacemaker.  When others discredit me, threaten my peace of mind, or push me to despair, You draw me close.  I can live only to please You, Lord.  Dealing with my enemies is Your job.

SIMPLE TRUTH

If we spent as much time in front of God's mirror as we do our own, pleasing others wouldn't be an issue.
