Helping Friends Heading in the Wrong Direction – Beloved Women – September 14, 2023

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
I sat at a red light, waiting for my turn to go. Two one-way streets made up the intersection. All of a sudden, I noticed a car trying to turn onto the road I was on. If he turned, he would be driving the wrong way. I honked and flashed my lights to get his attention. Finally, he realized his mistake and went straight instead of turning.
Like driving in my story, many people today try to turn down the wrong way. People will turn to drugs, alcohol, or other destructive behaviors as they search for the only way in life. As John 14:6 points out, Jesus is the only way to eternal life. Only when we find Jesus, do we find life.
Nothing or no one else can provide us eternal life. When we see friends heading the wrong way, we need to honk and flash the words of God to redirect them to Jesus.
PRAY
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for providing us a way to find eternal life. Thank You for showing us the path that leads us to You. Help us always to remember You are the only way and help us to teach others how to find You. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray. Amen.
