Read: 2 Peter 3

Key Verse: “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” - 2 Peter 3:9

Are you a patient person? When do you become impatient? Do you ever want God to move faster and Jesus to return sooner? This passage reminds us that God always has reasons for His timing. It is also a comforting passage because it communicates that His delays are for our good. Jesus is faithful in His second coming, and His return is guaranteed! It will happen, so be ready. No one knows the exact time we will see Him on that glorious day.

Timing is everything when it relates to salvation. God’s desire is that everyone come to repentance and decide to follow Jesus. He is so patient because each additional day He waits, more people are choosing heaven. I am so glad He waited until after 1989 when I became born again. If you know Jesus, you have been given an assignment to fill the earth with His gospel. Tell as many people as you can about salvation and a relationship with the Savior. May we see heaven become more populated with people from every nation!
