Read: Nahum 2

Key Verse: “The Lord will restore the splendor of Jacob like the splendor of Israel, though destroyers have laid them waste and have ruined their vines.” - Nahum 2:2

At what point of your life have you experienced the most loss and disappointment? What restoration has God brought? The Israelites at one point were close with God, had tremendous unity, and more peace with their neighbors. As Nahum writes, however, the nation had drifted from God, chosen disunity, and faced brutality from Assyria and threats from Babylon. Their splendor was gone and suffering was intense.

The beginning of restoration is to fully return to the Lord. Think through these restoration questions:

1)    What splendor is missing and why?
2)    Have you given up hope or starting to complain?
3)    What are the next steps God is asking you to take in the process?
4)    Have you fully surrendered to the Lord?

What vision has God placed in your heart and desires from Him?
