Read: Ruth 3

Key Verse: “And now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I will do for you all you ask. All my fellow townsmen know that you are a woman of noble character.” - Ruth 3:11

Boaz and the entire town have noticed Ruth’s character and kindness to Naomi. Do you live in a small town where people watch your life closely? How would people in your community describe you? What about at work or at home, what type of reputation have you gained? What evidence is there that you are an unselfish and generous person? Do you stand out as a noble person who can be trusted and serve as an example to others?

Ruth has some qualities that stand out in her community: 1) She takes care of a widow named Naomi. 2) She is diligent in her work and effort. 3) She gives up her personal comforts to improve the quality of life for other people. 4) She is willing to give up what is most comfortable to her in order to comfort others. 5) Her words are kind. 6) She is patient and steadfast, not easily rattled. 7) She seeks God and follows Him closely. 8) She is consistent in her character if many are watching or no one is watching. Let us shine the light of Jesus in the places we spend the most time!
