GOOD LEADERSHIP

Read: Psalm 45

Key Verse: “You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” - Psalm 45:7

God exalts a person into the position He wants them to hold. Every position has responsibilities. The higher the position, there is a greater influence for good or for harm. Political, spiritual, community, military, and educational leaders are all accountable to God. The need is the same at every level of leadership: fear God and complete the job God’s way.

Some leaders are selfish, and many of the followers will be short-changed. Some leaders make bad decisions and many of the followers are led astray. Some leaders are harsh, and many of the followers will suffer. The excellent leaders listen to God’s voice, surround themselves with godly advisors, know God’s Word, and cherish God’s priorities. The leader who aligns with God will overflow with joy and the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
