Read: Psalm 50

Key Verse: “If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.” - Psalm 50:12

Many people try to be self-sufficient, but it is impossible. Every breath, every heartbeat, every ounce of strength you have is a gift from God and completely dependent on Him! When people try to deny that fact, they are just living a lie. It is an illusion and an empty deception. We need God and we need each other. Read first Corinthians chapter 12 today for further understanding of this concept.

God is self-sufficient. He does not need us. We are valued, loved, prayed for, used, sustained, gifted, and held by God. Falsely, we can assume that God’s plan depends on us, and He needs us to finish His work. It is an inflation of our roles, and paints an incorrect image of God. It is an honor to serve Him, and He will accomplish tremendous works through you; but He is never dependent on you. It is important to have the right perspective as you complete your significant and special assignments for the King!
