Read: Psalm 126

Key Verse: “He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.” - Psalm 126:6

There are tears of pain before the birth of a child. Persistent prayers are uttered for years before a loved one decides to follow Jesus. There is the steady preaching of God’s Word until a church becomes healthy. Graduation comes after hours of course work and semesters of assignments. The blood of martyrs precedes reaching a new tribe of people with the gospel. The farmer plants seeds months before the harvest comes.

Do you tend to enjoy the process and the details more or the final results? When there is sacrifice required, weeping and patience, difficult work without instant fruit, it is so important to draw close to Jesus. Make sure you are doing what He wants you to do in the way He wants it done. If you are in step with the Spirit, there is no reason to give up hope or lose your zeal. Staying faithful will lead to the most rewarding results. In His time, your tears will be transformed into joy.
