Read: Proverbs 1

Key Verse: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.” Proverbs 1:7

Not everyone wants wisdom. Wisdom is more than just information; it is life skills and decisions. Short-term, empty thrills wage war against lasting wisdom. Peer pressure undermines wisdom. Advertisements contradict wisdom. Discipline and consequences are opportunities to turn and acquire wisdom. Wisdom is calling, but many close their ears. What are some specific examples of wisdom God has given you? What have you learned from Jesus that has changed your relationships?

If you desire wisdom, the first step is to fear the Lord. When you walk humbly before God, you are walking in wisdom. Courage is gasoline in the engine of wisdom. Fear wants you to compromise wisdom. Wisdom leads to life, joy, blessings, honor, and impact. You are made to live in God’s wisdom today: ask Him for insights and clarity.
