Read: Psalm 37

Key Verse: “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the deepest desires of your heart.” - Psalm 37:4

If you are not walking with God, your deepest desires can become: the love of money, preserving your reputation, trying to control people and your future, clinging to what is easy and safe, hoarding possessions, and running to the next short-term pleasure to numb all pain. Apart from God, your desires are not pure.

God transforms your desires and creates in you a new heart. God grants you zeal to know and glorify Him, to love people sacrificially and unconditionally, to serve with no strings attached, to receive His love deep in your soul, to ask for more of the Holy Spirit, and to spread the gospel to the ends of the world. The desires that God gives you are fulfilling, exciting, good, and full of life. Ask God to change your desires to mirror His heart and desires.
