NO WATER

Read: Psalm 63

Key Verse: “O God, You are my God, earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You, my body longs for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” - Psalm 63:1

Studies suggest that most Americans watch over 25 hours of television a week. Think about how much time is spent on the computer in ways that do nothing to build up the soul. Shopping is a favorite hobby for many people. Chasing trends, looking impressive, finding juicy gossip and rumors, and the love of money are just some of the motives that try to invade our souls.

A dry land can be literal in times of drought. Ezekiel chapter 37 also tells us that we can become spiritually dry. In prosperous countries where there is abundance of water, souls are dying from lack of nourishment. David was in the desert of Judah, and the weary land reminds him of his need for God. The refreshment and living water that comes from Jesus is the only solution. You have access to spiritual satisfaction; ask God today for His abundant grace, life, and goodness.
