Read: Micah 5

Key Verse: “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” - Micah 5:2

Here is a positive proclamation from the prophet Micah! Jesus Christ would be born in the small town of Bethlehem. Prophecies hundreds of years before the event are astounding. They remind us that God is in control and we should trust Him in all areas of our lives. How can anyone read this verse and deny what god foretold? Have you shared this prophecy with anyone? Choose someone today who might not be familiar with Micah’s declaration.

There are many prophecies that are fulfilled by Jesus: born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6-7, and Matthew 1:23) is very significant. Another Old Testament passage is Isaiah chapter 53; it describes the sacrificial death of our Savior in detail long before it happened. Do you know anyone who is Jewish? Take time to walk through these passages with them. Jesus is Jewish and the Messiah of the world! Many people are open to reading Scripture with them and ten minutes together can change their eternal destiny. Use prophecy to show God’s incredible plan to someone!
