WITHOUT COMPLAINING

Read: Philippians 2

Key Verse: “Do everything without complaining or arguing.” - Philippians 2:14

Do you complain very often? If you are complaining, what is the most common topic of your grumbling? Why does God want us to stay away from complaints? Here is a challenge: for the next 24 hours do not complain! Many people are not aware of how often they are fussing and whining about some situation. Attitude is a choice and a reflection of your character.

At the root of complaining is selfishness and an unwillingness to trust God. When you are tempted to complain, turn the feelings into a prayer. I remember when a youth group went on an overseas mission trip, and they decided as the trip began that no one was allowed to complain. It is incredible how much unity and peace there are when no one grumbles. Life is too short to pack it full of unnecessary drama and negative comments. Be grateful and live!
