Abiding Above Tension-Part 4

January 7, 2015

Philippians 4:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

If we are going to abide above tension it is going to involve a life of prayer. We cannot pray unless we are in Christ Jesus. We have to be in Christ Jesus and Christ Jesus has to be in us for us to be able to pray. The prayer that God would have us to pray when we are under tension comes because we are first in a relationship with God. So, we must be in Christ. No one can pray unless they know how to pray and the way to pray. We pray to God the Father, we pray through the merits of God the Son, and we pray by the indwelling Holy Spirit, so we must be in Christ to be on praying ground.
