Abiding Above Tension-Part 11

January 16, 2015

I am at peace with God and I have His Holy Spirit in me. I have the peace of God and I do not have to have anything to stroke my emotions, to cause me to be more near to God than I already am because my emotions are fickle, my emotions are like a football…I never know which way they will bounce. I have the foundation, the Word of God, I choose to put my trust, my believing, and my faith in the Word of God period and I tell my emotions to take the back seat. Amen! That is the way a child of God is to live. Jesus said in John 14:27“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”

That word heart in Hebrew signifies where our emotions are. Our heart and soul are one in the same.  He said don’t let it be troubled yet all of us have tension. How do we abiding above tension? Let not your heart be troubled and rely on the One who lives in you and let the Word of God change how you see the trouble that you are in. Walk in the Spirit because you do have a relationship with Him and you have fellowship with Him, my friend.

What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
