Sanctified in Christ

December 25

“…But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” - 1 Corinthians 6:11

Every believer is a sanctified person. There is an old praise song that they would sing at the old English Keswick in England. "Jesus be Jesus in me, no longer me but Thee. Resurrection power, fill me this hour, Jesus be Jesus in me. This is the secret of progressive sanctification!

The question for us as Christians is this…Am I a "do" oriented Christian or a "be" oriented Christian? Am I simply being who I already am in Christ, or am I doing a lot of things trying to be who I am in Christ. It is a dawning and a transformation to know where we are in this question. My friend, you are secure in Christ, so abide in Him, and let Jesus be Jesus in you today.
