A Daily Word - October 31

October 31

When you lie down, you will not be afraid; When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Proverbs 3:25

Children cringe on Halloween, their nightmares full of ghouls banging at their doors and hiding under their beds. For many people, night-fears are chronic, not limited to Halloween. They awake in the night with anxieties, or toss with concerns. God’s people can sleep well. If a growling ghoul tries to awaken them with worry, they can the rest the fear in God, turn over, and go back to sleep.
