Baanah: son of affliction.
- One of the two sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, a captain in Saul's army. He and his brother Rechab assassinated Ishbosheth (2 Samuel 4:2), and were on this account slain by David, and their mutilated bodies suspended over the pool at Hebron (2 Samuel 5,6,12).
- The father of Heled, who was one of David's thirty heroes (2 Samuel 23:29; 1 Chronicles 11:30).
