Each of these devotions inspires faith and love for God. As Christian women, it's good to know that we have other fellow Christian women who have been through similar things that we have been through or are going through.

5 Women’s Devotionals That Inspire Faith and Love for God

Taking part in devotionals is one of my favorite parts of the entire day. Similar to many people, I take the incentive to read a devotion each day along with my Bible reading.

Devotionals are great additions to your Bible study time that can help you dig deeper in your Bible time and help you answer questions about God, the Christian life, and yourself. Here are five women’s devotionals that will inspire faith and love for God.

1. Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst

The first women's devotional that inspires faith and love for God is Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst. I read this devotional during my freshman year of college, and it helped me cultivate deeper love and faith for God.

My first year at college was quite difficult as I had recently lost my mom due to congestive heart failure. It was during these days that I was really struggling with why God would let these things happen.

My friend had recommended Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst to help with my struggles. I was feeling quite alone and lonely in my grief. My family was also undergoing grief, but we were all coping with my mom’s death in our own ways; therefore, we never talked much about it until years later.

During these dark days, Lysa TerKeurst’s devotion truly helped me to feel less alone, not only in my struggles but also in social settings.

Similar to many people, I didn't get invited to all of the cool get-togethers, and it made me feel left out, which resulted in more loneliness and isolation. With these combined struggles, I looked forward to my daily devotional time and my daily readings of Uninvited.

2. Devotions for the Soul Surfer by Bethany Hamilton

A second women's devotional that inspires love and faith for God is Devotions for the Soul Surfer by Bethany Hamilton. I read this devotional during my first semester of seminary. It was another difficult season of life for my family and me.

It seems, though, that as Christians, we experience the most growth when we are going through dark days compared to going through brighter days. Nonetheless, as many of you know, Bethany Hamilton was the teenager who lost her arm in a shark attack and survived.

Despite only having one arm, she still trained to get back to the level of competing professionally as a female surfer, and she did win medals throughout her career. Her story alone is spellbinding and inspiring.

If anyone ever asked Bethany Hamilton how she did it, she always said it was because of Jesus. Even through her pain and struggle, she still looked to God and trusted Him. We can learn much of her life and the life lessons that she shares in her devotion.

Devotions for the Soul Surfer taught me many great truths about God and how He works in the world today as well as how He strengthens us each day. It is a truly humbling experience to read Bethany Hamilton’s words and reflect upon your own attitude and life.

This young girl could have given up and become bitter towards God because of her struggles, yet she chose to rely on God, obtain her strength from God, and encourage others to do the same.

3. Not So by Myself by Peyton Garland

A third women's devotional that will inspire faith and love for God is Not So by Myself by Peyton Garland. Peyton is a dear friend of mine, and her writing is amazing. While the main book is not directly a devotional, there are study guides in addition to the main book.

In this book, Peyton helps the reader know that they are not alone in their struggles and that God is truly beside us in every dark season of life. Even if we don’t feel God, He is still there, and He is not going anywhere.

Through this book, Peyton writes about her own personal experience as well as her own struggles with OCD. As someone who struggles with OCD, Peyton's rawness was very much appreciated, and it helped me process my own feelings surrounding my own diagnosis of OCD.

Not So By Myself encourages us to cultivate love and faith for God because it reminds us that God is there, even in the deep details. No matter how dark things get in our lives, God is always there (Psalm 23).

If you need to inspire love and faith for God in your life, pick up a copy of Not So By Myself by Peyton Garland. This book can help you as you struggle with feelings of depression, loneliness, grief, anxiety, lack of faith, or struggling simply with daily life.

I could not recommend this book more to help cultivate your relationship with Christ, as well as it will help inspire you to have more faith and love for God.

4. Proverbs 31 Devotions

Proverbs 31 is a ministry established by Lysa TerKeurst that is focused on helping cultivate women's faith and their relationships with Christ. There are a variety of writers who write for Proverbs 31 ministry, and it is free as all you have to do is subscribe to their devotions via email.

Once you sign up via email, you will receive a devotion each morning on various topics. The topics that are covered are broad and cover anything from spiritual fruits to living a Christian lifestyle.

Every devotion I have read from the Proverbs 31 ministry team is amazing and has helped me in some of my bleakest moments.

One particular devotion from Proverbs 31 ministry that stuck out to me greatly was one about cultivating a better body image and seeing ourselves as God sees us.

As someone who struggles with anorexia and body dysmorphia, it was an extremely helpful article, and I cried while I read it.

That is something I love so much about the Proverbs 31 ministry team is that they write very personally that helps you know your feelings are validated and that you are not alone.

If you need a source of inspiration for loving God and for cultivating faith in God, subscribe to Proverbs 31 ministry devotion email, and you will never regret it.

5. Who Are You Following? by Sadie Robertson-Huff

A fifth women's devotional that will inspire love and faith for God is Who Are You Following? by Sadie Robertson-Huff.

In this book, Sadie talks much about the social media trend in the modern day, including the constant obsession to be on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook.

Sadie points out the truth that where we spend our time ultimately affects how we view ourselves, others, and the world.

If we are constantly being bombarded with touched-up pictures from Instagram, we are going to be disconnected from reality and become disappointed with our own lives.

Who Are You Following? cultivates love and faith for God in so many ways. It calls us back to our first love: Christ, and reminds us that we need to be active in praying and reading the Bible.

We need to be following God, not the latest social media influencer. Social media influencers put a lot of time into their social media posts in order to give the illusion that their life is flawless when it is really not.

When we follow lies such as these, we will become disconnected from the truth of God's Word. Sadie's book encourages us as women to seek out our identity in Christ, and she affirms the great love God has for each of His children.

If you need inspiration to know God loves you, take some time to read Who Are You Following? by Sadie Robertson-Huff. In the same way, if you need some fresh faith in your life, read this book and see if it helps cultivate a better relationship with God.

Cultivating Faith and Love

Each of these devotions inspires faith and love for God, and I really hope and pray that you try to check out at least one of these books.

As Christian women, it's good to know that we have other fellow Christian women who have been through similar things that we have been through or are going through.

Remember that you are never alone and that God is always there with you no matter what. In our draining days, it can be hard to cultivate faith and love for God but try to always remind yourself that God loves you unconditionally and that you can have faith in Him.

He is a good, good Father, and He will always be there for you even when no one else is there. The Lord always remains, and He is always ready to wrap up in His love.
