Read: Psalm 139

Key Verse: “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” - Psalm 139:14

Many Christians suffer from a sense that they are poorly constructed and their sense of worth is minimal. There are continual pressures in the world to look good and be physically impressive. When people fail to meet these unrealistic standards, then depression comes and a very low self-esteem. David writes this psalm offering a contrasting perspective with powerful affirmations.

The facts are: 1) You were intimately created by God Himself 2) You are wonderful in His eyes 3) The physical wonder of your birth and the intricacies of your body should lead to praise for your Maker. Find your self-esteem in God and embrace more of His view. You are made in God’s image and He rejoices over you with singing. Do you ever think about how He has made no one else on this planet just like you? It was not a mistake! You are His treasure and the apple of His eye. Stop denying what He says about you; it is too uplifting to minimize or ignore.
