Read: Proverbs 23

Key Verse: “Do not eat the food of a stingy man, do not crave his delicacies.” - Proverbs 23:6

A stingy person gives you a gift but inside does not want to be generous. They speak words that make it feel like you are welcomed, but their heart is far from hospitality. A stingy person is constantly counting every cost and does not display grace. A stingy person chooses the most inexpensive option even if it is not effective. A stingy person loses in the long-run of life.

Generous people have healthier friendships. Generous people honor God. Generous people communicate love and see the value of other people. It is completely a choice and not dependent on the size of your bank account. I have been to parts of the world where there is extreme poverty and generosity, but other places have prosperity and selfishness. Remember that all of your money belongs to God! And your giving is a tangible way of displaying the love of Jesus!
