41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money [1] into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. 42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, [2] which make a farthing. 43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: 44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
41 And Jesus, having sat down opposite the treasury, saw how the crowd was casting money into the treasury; and many rich cast in much. 42 And a poor widow came and cast in two mites, which is a farthing. 43 And having called his disciples to [him] he said to them, Verily I say unto you, This poor widow has cast in more than all who have cast into the treasury: 44 for all have cast in of that which they had in abundance, but she of her destitution has cast in all that she had, the whole of her living.
41 And he took a seat by the place where the money was kept, and saw how the people put money into the boxes: and a number who had wealth put in much. 42 And there came a poor widow, and she put in two little bits of money, which make a farthing. 43 And he made his disciples come to him, and said to them, Truly I say to you, This poor widow has put in more than all those who are putting money into the box: 44 Because they all put in something out of what they had no need for; but she out of her need put in all she had, even all her living.
