Birth of William True Sleeper, at Danbury, New Hampshire. Trained at the University of Vermont and Andover Theological Seminary, he authored the hymns "Out of My Bondage, Sorrow and Night, Jesus, I Come" and "Ye Must Be Bom Again." He held a pastorate in Worcester, Massachusetts for 30 years.
