Time with God - Dec. 6, 2011

Genesis 6:12-14

God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.  Then God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.  “Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; you shall make the ark with rooms, and shall cover it inside and out with pitch.

When God chooses to speak to us about a specific task, we must be ready to respond!

God wants to protect His children.  He is always at work on our behalf.  There are things that He wants us to be a part of, so he gives us specific direction. Some tasks require more effort than others.  However, you can rest assured that He knows what he is doing in all that He asks of His children. It had never rained, and yet God was calling Noah to build an ark.

The one thing that we must not forget is that following Christ is always a step of faith, no matter how great or small the task.  What is it that God is asking you to do for Him?  This is something near and dear to His heart. Go ahead and do it today. Do it willingly, joyfully, expectantly. Show your faith to the world.
