Setting Things Straight

Today's reading: 2 Corinthians 3:1-18

Some of the believers at Corinth have criticized and called into question Paul's teaching and preaching. So what we are seeing here in chapter 3 (and other places in 2 Corinthians) is Paul defending himself and also reaffirming the gospel message to the church in Corinth. What I like about this chapter is that even though Paul has been attacked, his response is delivered with humility and love, and he is absolutely clear that his sufficiency is from God alone.

What did you learn from Paul today about responding to criticism, especially when it has to do with serving the Lord? What encouragement do you draw from the reminder that our sufficiency comes from God? Tami
