Without Seeing

Today's reading: 1 Peter 1:3-12

Because the opening verses of 1 Peter are so rich, I decided to stay with them one more day. As I read over our passage again this morning, what was conveyed in verses 8 and 9--that although we weren't eyewitnesses to Christ's life, death and resurrection, we still love and believe in Him and the eternal life He freely gives--stood out to me as an amazing display of our faith.

So how would you explain verses 8 and 9 to a person who doesn't yet know Christ personally? Tami
