Cities of Refuge

Today's reading: Joshua 20:1-9

Joshua implements and puts into place cities of refuge according to the instructions God had given to Moses about these cities many years earlier. The whole idea of having designated towns for those who had killed another by accident or without evil intent, seems a bit odd in today's society where we have laws in place concerning these types of "innocent" killings. As I took in this chapter, I was once again struck by how God protects and provides for us in all situations.

How have you seen God protect and provide for you and your family over the years? Was there anything in particular that moved your heart as you read about these cities of refuge? Tami
