Marketing Plan Questions – Question 2

In my book, “Unconventional Business,” I offered up seven questions from marketing guru, Seth Godin, that may help you shape your marketing plan. The second question is, “What are you selling?”

My wife, Kathy, can be impatient with telemarketers. On a number of occasions, I’ve heard a telemarketer start with small talk when Kathy will stop them and ask, “What are you selling?”

Although your prospects may not be that direct, they are wanting you to communicate quickly what you are selling. This requires clarity on your part.

In Luke 19:10 Jesus clarified what He was selling when He said, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

To develop an effective marketing plan, you need to become clear and succinct on what you’re selling.
