My Disastrous First Day
By: Rick Boxx
May 18, 2015

On my first day of work, after college, a snowstorm hit our community. With no previous rush-hour experience, coupled with the snowstorm, I was an hour late to work!

By the time I arrived, my audit team had left for the client’s office, leaving me to walk in new, late, and clueless. By the end of the day, I had a high fever and discovered that my car wouldn’t start.

I wanted to quit and start over somewhere else, but I didn’t because I hoped in something better.

James 1 teaches, “Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.”

Some days are full of trials. Sometimes the best we can do is to endure and show-up again the next day.
