Excellence in the Details

For many years I have attended a dance production called the “Underground.” Although I’m biased because my daughter, Bekah, has performed in this dancing tribute about the Underground Railroad for many years, it is an excellent production!

The Kansas City Star proclaimed it as “one of the Top 10 Performances of the decade.” If the performers were excellent, but the story was weak, or if the story was excellent, but not the performers, it would not be viewed by many as excellent.

In 1 Kings 6 we read about Solomon’s building of the temple, “The temple was finished in all its details according to its specifications. Solomon had spent seven years building it.”

For excellence to surface in any work that we do, we need to remember that all the details need addressed.
