Nehemiah's Seven Step Plan: Step 1
By: Rick Boxx

Planning is often underutilized in many small businesses. Over the next several days, we’ll discuss seven steps that the Old Testament leader, Nehemiah, took to develop and implement a very successful plan. The first step Nehemiah took was to “Pray Fervently.”

For four months Nehemiah prayed and fasted about his plan before approaching the king for permission and help. His prayers paved the way for him to receive the king’s favor.

In James 5:17 we learn about the power of prayer. It says, “Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months.”

If you’re beginning a project or business don’t forget about leveraging God’s power by praying fervently.
