Cost Cutting Moves

J.P. Morgan, one of America’s largest banks, in a cost cutting move, chose to eliminate voice mail for their staff. Thousands of voice mail boxes will be eliminated!

According to the Wall Street Journal article, many people under 30 rarely use voice mail, yet most businesses still have many customers over the age of 30 that do count on voice mail, making this a risky move.

These sorts of technology changes can have a major impact on customers and should be well thought out before disrupting a customer relationship.

Proverbs 21:5 teaches, “The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.”

If you’re making decisions that will impact your customers, be sure you plan and implement carefully. The short term savings may cost you a bundle later.
