Accountable to Authority
By: Rick Boxx

Dan had a salesman who was bringing in lots of new accounts, but this salesperson was constantly conducting business in a way counter to their company values. Dan was afraid to hold him accountable, however, because he feared the sales would go away.

When Dan finally sold his business, the buyers discovered many questionable practices in this one salesmans accounts and knocked $1 million off the purchase price. Dan now realizes that ignoring his responsibility as a leader cost him dearly.

Romans 13:1 teaches, Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.

If you have authority over someone violating your values, remember youre representing Gods authority. Id recommend you hold every person accountable.
