A Fivefold Ministry Plan-Part V
By: Rick Boxx
April 10, 2015

This week we’re discussing a five part strategy for developing a business ministry plan. The final part of the plan is “Ministering to Your Community.”

We’ve discussed serving the poor and oppressed in our communities, but we also should consider how to minister to our customers, suppliers, and even our competitors at times.

When the tragic tornado of 2011 devastated Joplin, Missouri, there were many inspiring stories of competitors helping their rivals rebuild their devastated businesses. Tragedy can melt our competitive spirit.

Proverbs 24 teaches, “Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice, or the LORD will see and disapprove and turn his wrath away from them.”

If you develop a ministry plan, consider how to better serve those around you, maybe even your competitors.
