Invest in Your Future

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”  Colossians 3: 23-24

Think

Many of us are in pursuit of happiness….the dream to have it all and live “happily ever after.”  As children, we carry our dreams to adulthood in the back of our minds, fully expecting to see their fulfillment.  When we become adults, we realize it’s not as easy to accomplish our dreams as we thought when we were younger.  We are soon faced with disappointments, disasters, brick walls and negative people that beat down our dreams.

Don’t give up on the dreams that God has placed in your heart.  As Scripture says “See first the kingdom of God….”  Maybe it’s time to self-reflect on where your heart is and who and what it is that you are serving.  God puts dreams in our hearts; rely on Him to see those dreams come true in His timing!

Pray

Ask God to put His dreams in your heart, and to keep it in check.  If your fire has fizzled out, ask Him to ignite it again and help you to pursue what He has for you.
