Value You

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, know that full well.” – Psalm 139:14

It’s crazy to think that someone would try to improve upon a masterpiece such as the Mona Lisa.  Some have actually tried to recreate it.  While it may have fooled a few, the experts know a masterpiece when they see it.  And a counterfeit is no masterpiece.

Unfortunately, this is a common practice among people.  We compare ourselves to others and try to make ourselves into something we aren’t.  Soon, we begin to realize how uncomfortable it is to try to become something we aren’t.

God created each of us to be one-of-a-kind masterpieces.  We each possess a unique purpose and design.  When we attempt to make ourselves like another, we devalue that uniqueness.  Today’s verse helps us to see that we did not just happen to exist.  God created us on purpose, for a purpose.  Don’t counterfeit His creation.  Appreciate the value He has given you as a masterpiece.  Put your brave on today by VALUING who God created you to be.

Ask God to help you see yourself through His eyes and appreciate the value He places on you as one of His masterpieces.

There is no better place to realize and celebrate your uniqueness than God’s house. If you haven’t already, make sure you are using your unique gifts by serving in His house to help fulfill His purposes.
