The Power of Music
“Shout to the Lord, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy!” –Psalm 98:4
Music is a part of life that many of us take for granted. We can find ourselves believing that just because we may not sing or play an instrument it’s just not relevant to us. However, music is a part of our lives in ways we may not even realize. It can take us back in time, it can bring moving cinematic moments to life, it can lift our mood and calm us and it can even help take our workout to the next level. Music makes us feel something. Is it possible that music is more important in our lives than we really know?
The Bible actually talks about music and singing more than 1,150 times. Knowing how music can motivate us and move us and realizing how much the Bible references music, we can see how powerful and important it is. Music really does matter to us all. But could it be that we are under-utilizing and over-looking this powerful tool? It has simple application yet significant implications. Music is a priceless gift from God that we can use to develop spiritually. Allow this gift from God to help you grow deeper in your relationship with Him.
Ask God to help you to recognize the significance of His gift of music in your life. Thank Him for this priceless gift.
