The Abiding Life-Part 2

September 20

God is Omnipresent. He can be everywhere at once. This is one of His characteristics, but the Spirit of God, the third member of the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, they’re all three One and He lives in you if you are His child.

We have all the answers we need right here in God’s Word, but if we do not open it up and read and try to understand some basic things, we will live like we are poor Christians instead of living like we are rich, because we are. You’re in Christ and Christ is in you.

My friend, we have the presence of God in the person of the Holy Spirit. This is what John is saying in John 15:4….

John 15:4– “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me”

John is simply telling us to abide in Christ. If you are truly a Christian what you are saying is that the Holy Spirit lives in you. You see, God made you and me in such a way that He could live inside of us.

My friend, a glove is made in such a way that a hand can be put inside of it and then the glove become useful. It is the same thing for the Christian. God comes to live inside of us by the Holy Spirit so that we can be made useful by Him. It is about God’s presence in your life and living an abiding life.
